Privacy Policy
The Expert Index (theexpertindex.ai) is operated by Provalytics LLC ("we," "us"). This policy explains what information we collect when you visit the site or contact an expert, and what we do with it.
When you read the site
- We use Google Analytics (through Google Tag Manager) to count visits and see which pages people read and how they found them. In the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland it only runs if you accept it; elsewhere you can turn it off with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of any page. We don't run ads or use advertising cookies, and we don't sell or share this data for advertising. See our Cookie Policy.
- Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes your IP address and basic request details (such as the page and browser) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
- The site's fonts load from Google Fonts, so Google receives your IP address when a page loads. See Google's privacy policy.
- If you choose light or dark mode, that choice is saved in your own browser. It never reaches us. See our Cookie Policy.
When you contact an expert
- We collect your name, your email address, your message and the page you sent it from, and we keep a one-way scrambled version of your IP address to stop spam.
- The form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to check that a person, not a bot, is sending it. Turnstile looks at your browser and connection for signs of automation; it isn't used for advertising. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
- We email your message to the expert (using SendGrid) so they can reply to you directly. The expert's own email address is never shown on the site.
- We keep a copy of the message so a lost email can be found. We don't use your details for marketing and we don't add you to any list.
Experts on the Index
Each profile is published with the expert's permission, from the bio they gave us and the posts they published on LinkedIn. Headlines and summaries are written with AI and link to the full post. Experts can hide any post or take their page down at any time.
Sharing
We don't sell or rent personal information. We share it only with the providers that run the site and the contact form (Cloudflare, SendGrid, and our hosting and database providers, and Google for analytics), with the expert you write to, or when the law requires it.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us what information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing [email protected]. Depending on where you live (for example in the European Union, the United Kingdom or California), you may have further rights, including to object to or restrict how we use your information and to complain to a data protection authority. We respond within 30 days.
Security and storage
Information is sent over encrypted connections and stored in the United States with access limited to the people who run the service.
Children
The site is not meant for children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above. Significant changes will be noted on this page.
